Posted February 26, 2008

Lynn Loo, associate professor of chemical engineering, has been awarded a 2008 Sloan Research Fellowship. These highly competitive two-year fellowships, which provide $45,000 in research support, "are intended to enhance the careers of the very best young faculty members" in targeted areas of science.

Lou's research focuses on soft, complex systems, including block copolymers and polymer blends, organic conducting and semiconducting materials and self-assembled monolayers.

Lou received her Ph.D. in chemical engineering from Princeton in 2001 and her B.S.E from the University of Pennsylvania. Before coming to teach at Princeton in the fall of 2007, she was an assistant professor at the University of Texas at Austin

She received the Beckman Young Investigator Award in 2005 and in 2004 was named one of Technology Review's Top 100 innovators.
