Contributors to that issue include Ann Haver-Allen, publications director, writer, and designer; Sara Peters, writer; Peter Page, writer; Steven Schultz, writer; Frank Wojciechowski, photographer, and Alicia G. Brzycki, copy editor.

The second award is for Ms. Peters' story about the collapse of the World Trade Towers, which appeared in the fall 2001 issue.

Titled "Engineers search for answers," the article is online at: www.princeton.edu/ ~seasweb/eqnews/fall01/ feature2.html

Sponsored by Communications Concepts Inc., the APEX 2002 Awards for Publication Excellence recognize excellence in publications work by professional communicators. The awards are based on excellence in graphic design, editorial content, and the ability to achieve overall communications excellence.

EQuad News previously was named a finalist by the Association of Educational Publishers for a series that appeared in the summer 2001 issue.

In addition, the staff received two Awards of Distinction in the Communicator Awards 2002 print media competition.
