Amy Alving *88 appointed chief scientist at Science Applications International Corp.

The Science Applications International Corp. recently appointed Amy Alving as its chief scientist. In this capacity she will build new, technology-driven business and strengthen scientific collaborations among the scientists and engineers within the company and with universities. Prior to this position, Alving was chief technology officer for the Engineering, Training and Logistics Group at SAIC, a leading systems, solutions and technical services company. Alving earned a Ph.D. in mechanical and aerospace engineering from Princeton in 1988. She received her undergraduate degree from Stanford.
